World Cup 2023: Here are 16 hundreds scored so far; South Africa batters slam 5

THE International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cup 2023 has reached around the halfway stage and the 10 competing teams are doing their best to reach the semi-finals. There have been quite a few occasions when the so-called minnows have trounced big sides making the tournament even more interesting.

Here is a list of hundreds scored in the first 22 matches of the 50-over World Cup till Monday (23) and how they translated for their teams at the end:

Devon Conway (New Zealand) 152 not out off 121 balls (19 fours, three sixes) against England in Match 1 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 5. Result: New Zealand won by 9 wickets

Rachin Ravindra (New Zealand) 123 not out off 96 balls (11 fours, five sixes) against England in Match 1 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 5. Result: New Zealand won by 9 wickets

Quinton de Kock (South Africa) 100 off 84 balls (12 fours, three sixes) against Sri Lanka in Match 4 at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on October 7. Result: South Africa won by 102 runs

Aiden Markram (South Africa) 106 off 54 balls (14 fours, three sixes) against Sri Lanka in Match 4 at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on October 7. Result: South Africa won by 102 runs

Dawid Malan (England) 140 off 107 balls (16 fours, five sixes) against Bangladesh in Match 7 at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala on October 10. Result: England won by 137 runs

Kusal Mendis (Sri Lanka) 122 off 77 balls (14 fours, six sixes) against Pakistan in Match 8 at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on October 10. Result: Pakistan won by 6 wickets

Sadeera Samarawickrama (Sri Lanka) 108 off 89 balls (11 fours, two sixes) against Pakistan in Match 8 at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on October 10. Result: Pakistan won by 6 wickets
