THREE people were arrested on Thursday for their alleged involvement in the killing of a 24-year-old woman during a drunken brawl at a house party in Indore, Madhya Pradesh on March 20.
Bhavna Singh was shot at following a dispute over the music being played during the party, and she was dumped outside a hospital. She later succumbed while undergoing treatment, the police said.
Those arrested have been identified as Mukul Yadav, his brother Ashu Yadav and their friend Swasti Rai.
The trio and Bhavna Singh were having a party on March 20. “A dispute over music being played at the party led to Mukul Yadav shooting Bhavna in the head,” a police official said.
The police said the accused had fled to Kasauli in Himachal Pradesh and were planning to enter Nepal.
A country-made pistol and two cartridge-filled magazines were recovered from them.
The police also found that the Yadav siblings were involved in online betting, and they recovered 28 mobile phones, 50 ATM cards, some laptops and passbooks of more than 60 bank accounts.
The police have frozen the accounts and a separate FIR has been lodged in connection with online betting. (PTI)
