Prince Harry came under the scanner on Monday (19) for allegedly not singing the British National Anthem — ‘God Save the King’ — at the funeral of late queen Elizabeth II at Westminster Abbey where more than 2,000 mourners gathered.
A short video of the prince seemingly not singing went viral on Twitter and other social media platforms.
In it, the Duke of Sussex was found not mouthing the words frequently and this sparked a debate among social media users. Many social media users also accused the prince of being “disrespectful”.
One said he had utter contempt for Harry.

But another section defended the 38-year-old saying they could see him singing. One user wrote, “I don’t know who needs to hear this, but it now applies to the King too.”
“Give him a chance. It’s changed since the last time he sang it – he hasn’t learnt the new words yet,” wrote another user.
Another said, “I can see Harry’s lips moving. He’s obviously not singing like he’s at karaoke, but he clearly forms the “Qu” sound and he shuts his mouth at the end. You’re a hateful non.”
One user wrote, “Edward wasn’t singing either. I think it’s sometimes hard to sing when you’re emotional.”
Harry was sitting behind his father King Charles III and the queen consort and his stepmother Camilla. His wife Meghan Markle was by his side throughout the service.
