Actor Vicky Kaushal, amidst promoting his upcoming comedy film Bad Newz, addressed recent speculations about his wife Katrina Kaif’s pregnancy.
During a promotional event, Kaushal clarified the rumors, stating, “As far as the good news that you spoke about is concerned, we will be very happy to share it with you when we have it. But till then, there is no truth to that, there is only speculation which is coming from the media.”
Kaushal, who stars alongside Triptii Dimri and Amy Virk in Bad Newz, urged the media and fans to focus on the film’s release, scheduled for Friday.
He emphasised the importance of enjoying the comedy and awaiting any official announcements regarding personal matters.
The film, directed by Anand Tiwari and produced by Amritpal Singh Bindra, Apoorva Mehta, and Karan Johar, explores comedic twists surrounding a character portrayed by Dimri, who finds herself pregnant with twins from different fathers.
During the event, Kaushal also shared plans to celebrate Kaif’s upcoming birthday, noting, “Thanks for mentioning her birthday, it’s a very special day and the plan is to just spend some quality time together. I’m rushing back to her birthday now… I’ve been busy with the promotions and she has also been traveling.”
Kaushal’s recent success with the song ‘Tauba Tauba’ from the film, which has gained popularity on social media, was also discussed.
He expressed gratitude for the overwhelming response and mentioned industry seniors like Salman Khan and Hrithik Roshan praising his dance performance.
Reflecting on the film’s journey, Kaushal described the experience as surreal and expressed his team’s happiness at the audience’s acceptance.
Directed by Anand Tiwari, Bad Newz promises to deliver laughter with its unique storyline and talented cast. The film is set to hit theaters on July 19, inviting audiences to enjoy a blend of comedy and dramatic flair.
