Uttar Pradesh CM Adityanath discusses Ayodhya temple with saints, spiritual leaders

YOGI Adityanath, the chief minister of the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, on Friday (20) met Hindu saints and spiritual leaders in Lucknow, the state capital.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader also had an informal meeting with the saints at his residence on Thursday (18) evening.

Rev. Madhav Priyadasji Swami, the head of Swaminarayan Gurukul Vishwavidya Pratishthanam, was among the invited and he attended both the meetings held on Thursday and Friday.

Adityanath, who became the chief minister for the first time in 2017 and will seek re-election next year, had called for the meeting on Friday to discuss certain issues related to the under-construction Ram Temple in Ayodhya besides other matters related to Hindu faith.

The chief minister and his guests exchanged views and ideas on the matter.

The meeting was also attended by Rev. Parmatmanandji Maharaj, Rev. Vishveshwaranandji Maharaj, Rev. Krushnamaniji Maharaj, Rev. Gyananandji Maharaj, Rev. Shambhunathji Maharaj and his son Yogiraj, Rev. Braheshanandji Maharaj, among others.
