The quakes in Nepal measured 4.3 and 6.2 on the Richter Scale.

TREMORS were felt in India’s Delhi-National Capital Region on Tuesday (3) afternoon after two earthquakes hit the northern neighbour of Nepal.
People came out of their houses and offices for safety. Tremors were also felt in other parts of north India, including Dehradun, the capital of the Himalayan state of Uttarakhand.
Delhi’s National Centre for Seismology confirmed two earthquakes hitting Nepal — the first with a 4.6 magnitude on the Richter Scale around 2.25 pm local time and the later measuring 6.2 on the scale and occurred almost half-an-hour later.

“Earthquake of Magnitude: 4.6, Occurred on 03-10-2023, 14:25:52 IST, Lat: 29.37 & Long: 81.22, Depth: 10 km, Location: Nepal,” National Centre for Seismology said in a tweet.
“Earthquake of Magnitude: 6.2, Occurred on 03-10-2023, 14:51:04 IST, Lat: 29.39 & Long: 81.23, Depth: 5 km, Location: Nepal,” it added.
Nepal’s Kathmandu Times also reported about the earthquakes that left buildings damaged. It said the two earthquakes measured 5.3 and 6.2 on the Richter Scale.
Massive earthquakes took place in countries such as Turkey, Syria and Morocco this year, resulting in deaths of several thousands.
