In a shocking incident, three persons were stabbed in central London on Thursday (6) morning, the police have said.
Officers from the City of London Police and paramedics from London Ambulance Service (LAS) rushed to the scene in Bishopsgate near Liverpool Street station, The Guardian reported.
One official said that the incident was being seen as one of suspected robbery and was not something related to terror.
A statement from the City of London said, “We received reports of three stabbings and a person pushed to the floor on Bishopsgate at 9.46am and officers arrived at the scene at 9.51am. Three victims were taken by LAS to a nearby hospital to be treated.
“This is an ongoing situation, but is not being treated as terror-related.”
Images on social media showed several emergency-service vehicles parked on the road by the 22 Bishopsgate skyscraper.
The police set up a cordon in the area.
