TAYLOR SWIFT’S “Eras” tour resumed in London on Thursday with a sell-out show at Wembley Stadium, marking the end of the European leg of the tour.
This performance comes after the cancellation of her Vienna concerts due to a disrupted suicide attack plot and follows a recent mass stabbing at a dance class themed around her music in northwest England that left three girls dead.
Security was significantly increased for the Wembley show, with extra ticket checks and additional stewards present.
London police confirmed there is “nothing to indicate” any connection between the Vienna attack plot and Swift’s London concerts. They assured that they are working closely with venue security to ensure comprehensive safety measures are in place.
Swift’s appearance on stage was noted for her T-shirt reading “a lot going on at the moment,” which may have been a nod to the recent incidents.

Fans showed their support despite the heightened security, with Katie Moulson, 24, expressing disbelief that the concert was happening. Brodie MacArthur, 23, mentioned that while there were lingering concerns, the enhanced security measures were reassuring.
Swift has expressed her shock and sympathy regarding the stabbing incident and has reportedly made private contact with the affected families. Additionally, her fans organized a fundraiser that raised nearly £400,000 for the victims, underscoring the supportive nature of the Swiftie community.
The concert also featured Ed Sheeran as a surprise guest, who performed several songs with Swift, including their collaborations and Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud.”
Fans from various locations attended the show, relieved and excited that the concert was taking place as scheduled despite recent events.
