THE TAMIL film “Vidaamuyarchi,” featuring Ajith in the lead role, will not be released on its originally scheduled date of Pongal 2025.

Lyca Productions announced the postponement on Tuesday night, citing “unavoidable circumstances.”

The production house shared the update via their official X page, stating: “Wishing everyone a Happy New Year 2025! Due to unavoidable circumstances, the release of VIDAAMUYARCHI is postponed from PONGAL! Kindly stay tuned for further updates! The wait will be worth it! #Vidaamuyarchi #HappyNewYear.”

Directed by Magizh Thirumeni, the action thriller features an ensemble cast including Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Sarja, and Regina Cassandra.

Ajith, one of the leading stars in Tamil cinema with over 60 films to his name, has delivered blockbusters like “Aasai,” “Kadhal Kottai,” and “Varalaru.” In addition to “Vidaamuyarchi,” he is set to appear in “Good Bad Ugly,” which reunites him with Trisha.

Lyca Productions has yet to announce a revised release date for “Vidaamuyarchi”.
