The qualifying round in the ongoing T20 World Cup in Australia concluded on Friday (21) after some thrilling encounters towards the end and four teams that advanced to the Super 12 were Sri Lanka and the Netherlands from Group A, and Zimbabwe and Ireland from Group B.
Two-time champions West Indies were eliminated after they lost to Ireland by nine wickets in the final group game in Hobart on Friday. On Thursday, Namibia, who beat Asian champions Sri Lanka in their first match, had a disappointing seven-run loss to the United Arab Emirates to crash out of the contention.
The finalisation of the four teams will mean India, who are placed in Group 2 in the Super 12 phase starting Sunday (23), will have two opponents in Zimbabwe and the Netherlands.

If India can advance to the semi-finals, the two of them will be played in Sydney and Adelaide on November 9 and 10, respectively, with the final in Melbourne on November 13.
