In a bizarre yet hilarious turn of events, several mysterious posters reading “Sorry Bubu” have been spotted in various locations from Noida to Meerut. The posters, which appeared on foot overbridges, metro station walls, and other public spaces, have left netizens both amused and puzzled. While some believe it to be a grand romantic gesture, others see it as a mischievous prank taken to the next level. The incident has now caught the attention of the police, who are scanning CCTV footage to track down the person behind the viral stunt.
The posters, which contain no details other than the words “Sorry Bubu” and a couple of emojis, have sparked a guessing game on social media. Speculations range from a love-struck individual apologizing to their partner to a planned publicity stunt or even a social experiment.

One of the most widely circulated videos of the posters was recorded by a woman near the Botanical Garden Metro Station in Noida. She shared the footage on Instagram, where it quickly gained traction. Soon, reports started emerging of similar posters in Meerut’s Ganganagar area, making it clear that this was not an isolated event but a widespread campaign.
As the posters gained viral attention, the police decided to investigate the matter. Authorities in Noida and Meerut have begun checking CCTV footage to identify the person behind the act. While no culprit has been found yet, the sheer number of posters suggests that either a single person went to great lengths for this gesture, or a group of people collaborated to make it happen.
However, even as the police try to crack the case, social media users have already crowned this as one of the funniest public pranks in recent times. Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook are flooded with memes, with some users jokingly claiming to be “Bubu” and others urging the unknown lover to forgive their partner already.
Social media reactions to “Sorry Bubu” have been mixed. While many netizens see it as a lighthearted act that adds humor to everyday life, others question whether public spaces should be used for personal messages.
One user humorously commented, “Imagine your ex pulling off something like this. Would you forgive or change cities?” Another speculated, “This has to be a marketing stunt. Just waiting for a brand to claim it.”
Others, however, were not as amused. Some pointed out that defacing public property, even for fun, is against the law. Meanwhile, romantics on social media are waiting to see if Bubu ever responds.
With the police now involved and online curiosity at its peak, the “Sorry Bubu” mystery is far from over. Whether it was an apology from the heart, a prank, or a viral marketing gimmick, one thing is certain—the internet loves a good mystery, and Bubu has now become a social media legend.
