The Heeramandi actor stated that women today don’t feel pressured to cook after marriage

SONAKSHI SINHA cooked publicly for the first time during a promotional event for a digital travel company on Thursday, where she prepared sattu ka parantha.
Her husband, actor Zaheer Iqbal, accompanied her and made avocado sushi.
Sinha admitted that she felt the pressure of cooking in front of an audience but was pleased with the outcome. “This is the first time I’ve actually attempted to cook something and it is in front of so many people. I was under a lot of pressure, but I think I did quite well,” she said.
Reflecting on her personal life, Sinha stated that women today don’t feel pressured to cook after marriage.
She attributed this to the recognition that women juggle both professional and personal commitments. “In today’s time, there is no such pressure on women (to cook) because everyone knows women have their work lives and their home lives as well,” she told reporters.
Sinha said that she only cooks when she wants to and that her mother, Poonam Sinha, who is a “fantastic cook,” would be proud of her attempt.
She added, “The happiest person today would be my mom… She thought I might become a good chef when I get married. She’s still waiting.”
Sinha also reminisced about her childhood, expressing her fondness for Indian food, especially the Bihari cuisine she used to enjoy at her grandmother’s house.
The actor revealed that Goa is her favorite holiday destination, while her husband prefers Kerala. She expressed a desire to visit Kashmir soon.
