ACTION film “Sky Force”, starring Akshay Kumar and newcomer Veer Pahariya, earned ₹153 million (£1.42m) net on its opening day at the domestic box office.
The film, which released on Friday, has been billed as the untold story of India’s first and deadliest airstrike.
Producer Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films shared the opening day box office collection on its official social media accounts.
“Force takes off to a soaring start at the box office! This true story of action, bravery, and sacrifice is winning hearts and spreading love,” they wrote alongside a poster announcing the Rs 153 million net box office collection.
Directed by Sandeep Kelwani and Abhishek Kapur, Sky Force marks the acting debut of Veer Pahariya.

An IAF officer T Vijaya, played by Pahariya, who goes missing in action and Akshay Kumar, who stars as his fellow officer, KO Ahuja, embarks on a mission to find Vijaya.
The movie also features Sara Ali Khan and Nimrat Kaur in pivotal roles.
