INDIAN parliamentarian Shashi Tharoor is never away from the headlines. From his exquisite English vocabulary to clicking selfies with women colleagues in the parliament, the veteran Indian National Congress leader is always into some or the other engagement with the social and mainstream media.

The man’s sense of humour is something even his enemies envy and he displayed his skills in that yet again recently, this time from Venice in Italy. The 66-year-old was sharing continuous updates from his Europe trip on Twitter, including some selfies with nobody around. And the parliamentarian from the southern Indian state of Kerala remembered an old episode while captioning his pictures.
“And I even took selfies that didn’t involve other people!” he said.

For those who are not aware, Tharoor had posted a selfie on the microblogging site in November last year and it triggered a controversy. The man was trolled for posting the picture in which he was seen along with a number of women parliamentarians from various parties and he said that the Lok Sabha or the lower house of the Indian parliament is an “attractive place” to work.

Tharoor targeted over upturned Indian Tricolour

However, even though the Indian politician had a witty take on things this time, still he could not completely avoid trolling. In one of the pictures, Tharoor was seen with a miniature Indian Tricolour pinned upside down on his coat as he was travelling on a boat. The social media users pointed it out and trolled the Congress leader asking him why he could not wear it properly.
