In a major casting update that’s got Bollywood buzzing, actress Sharvari Wagh is reportedly all set to share screen space with Ranveer Singh in the much-awaited action thriller Don 3. The film, produced by Excel Entertainment and directed by Farhan Akhtar, is expected to go on floors by the end of 2025.
Originally, it was confirmed that Ranveer Singh and Kiara Advani would headline Don 3, marking a fresh new chapter in the cult action franchise. However, after Kiara’s recent pregnancy announcement, speculation arose that she had opted out of the project. Now, according to a report by Bollywood Hungama, Sharvari has officially stepped in to take on the lead female role opposite Ranveer.
A source close to the production revealed, “Sharvari and one more actress were being considered. But she has managed to bag the role. The team at Excel Entertainment are excited to have her on board. Sharvari, too, is quite kicked to be a part of such a huge franchise and also because it’s different from Alpha, though both are slick action films.”

Sharvari, who is steadily making her mark in the Hindi film industry, is next seen in Alpha, a film from the YRF Spy Universe that’s slated for a Christmas 2025 release. She’s also expected to return for Maha Munjya, the sequel to her breakout horror-comedy hit Munjya. Sources say she will also be part of another film from the Munjya cinematic universe, further establishing her versatility across genres.
In addition to Don 3 and Alpha, Sharvari is reportedly in talks for an untitled project with acclaimed director Imtiaz Ali, signalling her growing influence and calculated script choices. “Sharvari is choosing her scripts wisely and associating herself with films that would excite the audience. By doing so, she is also dabbling into different genres,” added the source.
As for Don 3, the film is expected to go into production by late 2025, once Sharvari wraps up promotional duties for Alpha. The film promises high-octane action, intense drama, and a fresh narrative under Ranveer Singh’s new-age Don avatar. Fans of the franchise are eager to see how this reboot unfolds, especially with the dynamic new pairing of Ranveer and Sharvari.
The Don franchise, known for its legacy starting from Amitabh Bachchan’s 1978 version to Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic 2006 and 2011 entries, now enters a new era with Ranveer Singh taking over the reins. With Sharvari joining the ensemble, expectations have skyrocketed for what could be one of Bollywood’s biggest blockbusters in the coming years.
