Salman Khan has once again come under threat, as reports confirm he received a fresh death threat on Monday, April 14, 2025. The threatening message, which arrived via WhatsApp on the Mumbai Traffic Police helpline, warned that the actor’s car would be blown up with a bomb and that the attacker intended to enter his residence to carry out the act. Mumbai Police have taken immediate action, filing a complaint against unknown persons and initiating an investigation to trace the origin of the message.
According to police sources, the disturbing message has heightened concerns around Salman Khan’s security, especially as it marks the fifth death threat the actor has received in the past two years. Khan, who lives with his family at Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai’s Bandra, has remained a constant target for anti-social elements. His security detail was significantly increased last year after assailants allegedly linked to the Bishnoi gang fired shots at his residence.
This fresh threat comes amid ongoing tensions stemming from Salman’s legal history. The Bishnoi gang, particularly its leader Lawrence Bishnoi, has repeatedly targeted the actor due to the 1998 blackbuck poaching case. Although a court recently dismissed the case, Bishnoi continues to demand a public apology from Salman Khan in Rajasthan, threatening lethal consequences if his demands are not met. The blackbuck holds sacred value in the Bishnoi community, which has amplified their grievance against the actor over the years.
In a separate incident last year, the Mumbai Police thwarted an alleged assassination plot involving Bishnoi’s associates, who had reportedly surveilled Salman’s Panvel farmhouse and planned to attack him during a visit. That chilling episode prompted further enhancements to the actor’s already tight security, including armed guards and restricted public appearances.
Meanwhile, Salman Khan’s professional life also saw some movement this year. He recently starred in the Bollywood action drama Sikandar, marking the directorial return of AR Murugadoss. Released during Eid 2025, the film had high expectations but delivered a lukewarm box office performance. While Sikandar earned approximately ₹200 crore globally and ₹109 crore in India, its earnings have begun to slow. Industry insiders suggest that the film is likely to wrap up its theatrical run without crossing the ₹250 crore milestone—a modest figure by Salman’s blockbuster standards.
Despite the threats looming over his personal life, Salman Khan continues to remain active in the entertainment industry, with fans and colleagues alike rallying in support of the actor. The ongoing investigation by Mumbai Police aims to identify and apprehend the individual responsible for the latest threat. Authorities are taking the matter seriously, especially in light of previous threats and incidents linked to organized criminal groups.
As Salman Khan grapples with repeated security concerns, both his fans and industry peers hope for swift justice and increased safety for one of Bollywood’s most iconic stars.
