Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has once again received a death threat, this time allegedly from a 26-year-old man from Gujarat’s Waghodia region in Vadodara district. The Mumbai Police confirmed that a threatening message was sent to their WhatsApp traffic helpline on Sunday (13), warning of physical harm to the actor and a plan to plant a bomb in his car.

Following the alert, Mumbai Police acted swiftly and, in coordination with Gujarat Police, traced the message to a village in Waghodia. A team, along with local law enforcement, visited the suspect’s home. Upon investigation, it was discovered that the accused is reportedly mentally unstable and is currently undergoing medical treatment.

Vadodara district Superintendent of Police Rohan Anand confirmed, “The Mumbai police, accompanied by Waghodia police, reached the suspect’s residence. The man was found to be mentally unstable. His family has stated that he is under treatment.” He further added that the Mumbai Police served the individual a notice to appear before them within 2–3 days, and security outside Salman Khan’s Bandra residence has been heightened.

The threatening message has been registered under Section 351 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). It marks a concerning continuation of threats against Salman Khan, who has been under Y-Plus category security due to repeated attacks and warnings over the years.

These threats are believed to be linked to the 1998 blackbuck poaching case, in which Salman is an accused. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which considers blackbucks sacred, has allegedly demanded an apology or extorted large sums of money from the actor. Salman Khan previously responded to these threats saying, “Bhagwan, Allah sab unpar hai… I’ll die when I have to die.”

The actor has also faced incidents such as gunshots outside his home in 2023, attempted entry into his Panvel farmhouse, and threatening emails, allegedly from gangster Goldy Brar.

With each new threat, law enforcement is working to ensure the actor’s safety while investigating the source and seriousness of the messages.
