Popular YouTuber and content creator Ranveer Allahbadia, best known for his channel BeerBiceps, has finally opened up about the storm surrounding the now-deleted YouTube show India’s Got Latent.

The 31-year-old entrepreneur and influencer has been embroiled in a major controversy after an FIR was lodged against him and fellow digital personalities including comedian Samay Raina, YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani, influencer Apoorva Mukhija, and comedian Jaspreet Singh for a sexually explicit segment on the show that sparked widespread public outrage.

The video, which featured Allahbadia asking a vulgar question involving parents, quickly went viral and was flagged by the National Human Rights Commission for being harmful to minors. The incident led to FIRs being filed in both Maharashtra and Assam, with multiple creators facing intense criticism across social media platforms.

In an emotional Q&A session on Instagram, Allahbadia revealed the immense toll the controversy has taken on his personal and professional life. “Lost: Health, money, opportunity, repute, mental health, peace, parents’ contentment & much more. Gained: Transformation, spiritual growth, toughness,” he wrote in response to a follower. “Will slowly work towards getting back everything that’s lost. Let the work speak.”

He went on to explain that the hardest part of the ordeal was knowing that his mistake may have affected the careers of over 300 people who work under his brand. “That I let down the families of my team members because of my mistake. People don’t understand how many jobs are at stake. Quickly wrote off my career and hence the careers of 300+ people. Learnt very deeply about human nature. Mobs love seeing people fall. But we will keep moving forward. I’m not 100% okay even now. Have to give it my all because MANY livelihoods depend on my work.”

Allahbadia also touched upon the emotional impact the controversy had on his family. “This part of the chaos hurt the most. When your work, your actions have an impact on your loved ones. But both my parents are warriors. That’s where I get my mentality from! Was tough, but we are getting past it,” he shared.

Earlier this year, as the backlash grew louder, Samay Raina removed all episodes of India’s Got Latent from his YouTube channel and assured full cooperation with the authorities. Recently, both Raina and Allahbadia appeared before the Maharashtra Cyber police for questioning under charges related to obscenity under the IT Act and Indian Penal Code.

When asked about his bond with Samay Raina in the aftermath of the row, Allahbadia remained supportive: “Samay will be back. All of us have gotten closer after the events. Stand by each other in good times as well as in bad times. My brother is (already) a media legend. God is watching over all of us. Picture abhi baaki hai…”

Reflecting on the difficult period, Allahbadia emphasized the importance of mental discipline and spiritual practices. “Start Yoga early in life… A calm mind is earned. The calmness helped a lot. Tough chapters must be met with tough routines,” he advised. Although he admitted the ordeal is far from over and much is still happening “behind the scenes,” he added, “But God is with me, I know it.”

Ranveer Allahbadia also publicly apologized for the content that triggered the backlash, stating, “Comedy is not my forte,” and even approached the Supreme Court seeking protection from coercive action in the multiple FIRs filed against him.
