This explicit question posed by YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia on a recent episode of “India’s Got Latent” has ignited widespread outrage. The remark, deemed crude and inappropriate, has led to a significant backlash, with many calling for a boycott of the show and its associated personalities.

“India’s Got Latent,” hosted by comedian Samay Raina, is a reality show that humorously critiques the hidden talents of aspiring performers. The show has previously faced controversies, but this incident has intensified public scrutiny. Following the episode’s release, social media platforms were flooded with criticism, with users expressing disgust and demanding accountability.

In response to the uproar, Mumbai Police visited the show’s set, and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis called for appropriate action regarding the incident.

Ranveer Allahbadia, also known as BeerBiceps, is a prominent social media influencer and entrepreneur. He is the founder of BeerBiceps and the host of “The Ranveer Show” podcast. In March 2024, he was honored with the ‘Disruptor of the Year’ award at the inaugural National Creators Award ceremony, presented by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During the event, the Prime Minister engaged in light-hearted banter with Allahbadia and suggested he create awareness about sleep deprivation.

As of now, there has been no official reaction from Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the recent controversy on “India’s Got Latent.”

Amid the backlash over his controversial remarks on a roast show, YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia has issued a public apology, acknowledging his mistake and admitting that “comedy is not my forte.” The 31-year-old took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his regret, posting a message that read, “I shouldn’t have said what I said on India’s Got Latent. I’m sorry.”

In a video message accompanying the post, Allahbadia admitted that his comment was not only inappropriate but also lacked humor. “My comment wasn’t just inappropriate, it was not even funny. Comedy is not my forte, I am just here to say sorry,” he said.

He also addressed concerns from his followers, many of whom questioned whether he intended to use his platform in such a manner. “Obviously, this is not how I wish to use it. I am not going to give any context, justification, or reasoning behind whatever happened. I am just here for an apology. I personally had a lapse in judgment. It wasn’t cool on my part,” he added.

Acknowledging the wide reach of his podcast, Allahbadia emphasized the responsibility that comes with his audience. “The podcast is watched by people of all ages. I don’t want to be the kind of person that takes that responsibility lightly, and family is the last thing I would ever disrespect,” he concluded.
