RAJINIKANTH’S 170th feature film, Vettaiyan, will be released on October 10 in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada, according to an announcement made by the film’s production company.
Directed by TJ Gnanavel, known for Jai Bhim, and produced by Lyca Productions, the film features Rajinikanth in the role of a police officer.
Lyca Productions highlighted on their official X page, “Target locked ‘VETTAIYAN’ is set to hunt in cinemas worldwide from OCTOBER 10th, 2024! Superstar as Supercop! Releasing in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi & Kannada!”
The film will face competition at the box office from Suriya’s Kanguva, also releasing on October 10, and Alia Bhatt’s Jigra, which will premiere on October 11.
The cast of Vettaiyan includes Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Ritika Singh, Manju Warrier, and Dushara Vijayan.
Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music for the film. Following Vettaiyan, Rajinikanth is set to appear in Coolie, slated for a 2025 release.
