Actor Radhika Apte has made a special trip to India, and this time, she is accompanied by a very special guest—her baby daughter. The actress, known for her critically acclaimed performances, took to Instagram to share the joyous moment of bringing her little one to Mumbai for the very first time. Overwhelmed with excitement, Radhika expressed how she chose the perfect time for this introduction, making the most of Mumbai’s vibrant summer season.

On Tuesday (1), Radhika delighted her fans with an Instagram update, giving them a glimpse into this milestone journey. Sharing a snapshot from inside the airport, she looked visibly thrilled, capturing a candid moment of joy. In the image, Radhika can be seen carrying her baby girl in a shoulder carrier. Although she made sure to keep her daughter’s face private by playfully covering it with a hat and sunglasses emoji, the picture radiated warmth and excitement.

Accompanying the post, she wrote, “Touchdown in the motherland! Mum chose the best month for a Mumbai intro (Sun, mango and red heart emoji) #shocked #mangoseason #hothothot.”

Radhika Apte and her husband, British violinist and composer Benedict Taylor, welcomed their first child, a baby girl, in late 2024. The couple, known for their low-key lifestyle, kept the pregnancy under wraps until Radhika revealed her baby bump at the BFI London Film Festival in October last year. The actress stunned everyone as she walked the red carpet for the screening of her film Sister Midnight, flaunting her pregnancy glow.

A few months later, in December 2024, Radhika officially announced her baby’s arrival with a heartfelt Instagram post. Sharing a moment of her balancing motherhood and work, she wrote, “First work meeting back after birth with our one week old at my breast…” The post resonated with fans and fellow actors, celebrating her candid take on postpartum life.

Choosing to bring her daughter to Mumbai in the summer was no coincidence for Radhika. In her Instagram post, she subtly hinted that one of the main reasons was mango season, a time synonymous with indulgence in India’s favorite fruit. Known for her love of Indian traditions, Radhika wanted her little one to experience the best the city had to offer, starting with its famous Alphonso mangoes.

Her followers flooded the comments with excitement and love, with actor Tisca Chopra commenting, “Oh my lord (red heart emoji).” Many fans also expressed their happiness with messages like “yay” and “welcome home.”

Despite being a part of the entertainment industry, Radhika and Benedict have always maintained a private life, staying away from the constant media glare. The duo met in 2011 when Radhika was in London for a course and tied the knot in 2012, followed by an official ceremony in 2013. Since then, they have balanced their careers between India and the UK, keeping their personal lives relatively low-profile.

Unlike many celebrity parents, Radhika has chosen to keep her daughter away from the limelight for now. However, her latest post gives a rare glimpse into her new journey as a mother, and fans are eager to see more of her experiences as she navigates this new chapter in life.

While she is currently embracing motherhood, Radhika is also gearing up for her upcoming projects. The actress has always been known for taking on unconventional and bold roles, and fans are excited to see what’s next for her on the professional front.

For now, however, she is soaking in the joy of introducing her daughter to her roots, starting with Mumbai’s bustling streets, rich culture, and of course, the sweet taste of mangoes.
