Spotting unidentified flying objects (UFOs) is not something new. From common men on the ground to pilots flying aircraft thousands of miles up into the air, sightings of such objects have made headlines often. And now, several in the Indian city of Lucknow and others in the state of Uttar Pradesh have witnessed something strange in the night skies — a string of lights that appear in a straight line and move.
Videos went viral showing the lights, forming a string and appearing to be blinking, during the evening hours on Monday (12). Netizens were left baffled by them and they questioned the origin of the lights.

“Today at 7:15 pm around I saw one mysterious object full of light like train is traveling in sky and light coming out from bogies windows,” wrote a social media user.
Videos of the lights were recorded by residents of Malhiabad in the Lucknow district of Uttar Pradesh, India Today reported.
It also said that in December 2021, similar lights were seen in Pathankot in the state of Punjab, leaving the local people surprised. In June last year, areas in the western state of Gujarat saw mysterious lights flickering in the night sky, triggering speculation that they belonged to UFOs.
Narottam Sahoo, advisor at Gujarat Council of Science and Technology said that the lights could have been of some satellite passing through low-earth orbit, the India Today report added.
