A WOMAN from Pakistan has been apprehended in Greater Noida city in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh along with her four children for illegally staying, reportedly with the assistance of a local man whom she met through the online game PUBG.
The man, a resident of Greater Noida, has also been detained for providing them shelter in his rented accommodation.
Greater Noida’s deputy commissioner of police Saad Miya Khan confirmed the detention of the Pakistani woman, the local man, and the custody of her four children. The woman, in her late 20s, and the man got in touch through the popular online game PUBG, which eventually developed into a friendship, according to the police.
Currently, both the man and the woman are undergoing questioning, and further information will be disclosed once the interrogation is completed, stated Khan.
As per a local police official, the woman and her children allegedly entered India via Nepal last month and subsequently traveled to Uttar Pradesh before arriving in Greater Noida by bus. They had been residing in the rented accommodation of the local man, who resides in the Rabupura area of Greater Noida, as per the official’s assertion.
