CHRISTOPHER NOLAN is gearing up for his next feature, slated for a July 2026 release in US theatres. Following the success of “Oppenheimer”, Nolan will once again collaborate with Universal Pictures, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Actor Matt Damon, who worked with Nolan on “Interstellar” (2014) and “Oppenheimer” (2023), is in negotiations to join the cast of the upcoming project.
While further details of the new film have yet to be revealed, Damon’s potential involvement would mark their third collaboration.
Nolan’s previous film “Oppenheimer”, a historical drama centred on the development of the atomic bomb, was a major success, winning eight Oscars.
Among its achievements, Cillian Murphy won Best Actor for his portrayal of J. Robert Oppenheimer, and Nolan received his first Best Director award.
This success marked a significant partnership between Nolan and Universal, after years of working with Warner Bros., where Nolan directed hits like “The Dark Knight” trilogy, “Dunkirk”, and “Inception”.
