Veteran journalist Rajdeep Sardesai retweeted Gadkari’s post to congratulate the minister and the NHAI team over the accomplishment but added that while highway road construction in India takes place fast, the same is not true about the pothole-filled roads in major metro cities.
He said, “Congrats to @nitin_gadkari and team @NHAI_Official on a Guinness record. Anyone who travels through India cannot but notice the amazing speed of highway road construction (if only we could say similar positive things about our pot hole filled roads in most major metros?!)”
