Uttarakhand High Court allows animal slaughter in Haridwar for Eid: The Uttarakhand High Court on Thursday stayed a notification by the state’s Hindu right-wing Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government declaring the entire district of Haridwar as a “slaughter-free area” and allowed the slaughter of animals for Eid al-Adha on July 10 at a slaughterhouse in the district’s Manglaur municipality, The Indian Express reported.
Companies who operate in India need to follow the land’s law, Indian foreign ministry says on Vivo case: India’s ministry of external affairs on Thursday said that companies who operate in India should follow the law of the land.
