Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray wanted to step down twice: Uddhav Thackeray, the beleaguered chief minister of Maharashtra where his government has faced a survival crisis, thanks to implosion in his own Shiv Sena, reportedly wanted to quit twice in the wake of the crisis but Sharad Pawar, chief of coalition partner Nationalist Congress Party, dissuaded him.
