THE AKKINENI family has another joyous occasion to celebrate as Telugu superstar Nagarjuna announced the engagement of his younger son, actor Akhil Akkineni, to Zainab Ravdjee.
The announcement comes as the family prepares for Nagarjuna’s elder son Naga Chaitanya’s wedding to actress Sobhita Dhulipala, scheduled for December 4 at Annapurna Studios, Hyderabad.
Akhil and Zainab, who have reportedly been dating for several years, got engaged in an intimate ceremony attended by close family members at the Akkineni residence.
Sharing the news on social media platform X, Nagarjuna posted a photo of the couple and wrote, “We are thrilled to announce the engagement of our son, @AkhilAkkineni8, to our daughter in law to be Zainab Ravdjee! We couldn’t be happier to welcome Zainab into our family. Please join us to congratulate the young couple and wish them a lifetime filled with love, joy, and your countless blessings.”
Zainab Ravdjee, an artist specialising in abstract paintings, grew up in Hyderabad and is currently based in Mumbai. Her family is also prominent in the business world. Her father, Zulfi Ravdjee, is a builder, while her brother, Zain Ravdjee, is the Chairman and Managing Director of ZR Renewable Energy Pvt Ltd.
The couple plans to marry in 2025, marking another major event for the Akkineni family, who are already in the limelight for Naga Chaitanya’s second wedding.
Chaitanya was earlier married to actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
