The business advocacy group, the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) headed by Dr Mukesh Aghi, will facilitate the prime minister’s meeting with some of the important names, including Shantanu Narayen, CEO of Adobe Systems; Julie Sweet, CEO of Accenture; Ryan McInerney, CEO of Visa Inc; Michael Miebach, CEO of Mastercard and James Quincey, CEO of Coca Cola.

“The meeting will witness eminent industry leaders from across various sectors including IT, Telecom, FMCG, logistics, and industrials,” a person familiar with the planning told ANI.

In addition to this meeting, Modi will address a gathering of over 1,500 diaspora and business leaders at the John F Kennedy Centre in Washington.

The event will also be attended by several top officials from the Biden administration.

The visit follows Modi’s participation in a state dinner at the White House and precedes his official trip to Cairo at the invitation of Egyptian president Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

Prior to the visit, Mukesh Aghi, president and CEO of the USISPF, emphasised the growing relationship between India and the US, noting that both countries are overcoming past suspicions and fostering a deeper and broader partnership.

The prime minister’s visit will also include the celebration of Yoga Day at the UN headquarters in New York before proceeding to Washington DC for the bilateral leg of the visit.

President Joe Biden will host Modi for a state visit, featuring ceremonial welcomes, bilateral talks, and meetings with key leaders from the US administration.
