MALAYALAM movie “The Goat Life”, released earlier this year, has received two nominations at the 2024 Hollywood Music in Media Awards (HMMA).
A R Rahman, an Oscar-winning composer, is nominated for his work on the movie’s original song and score.
Rahman’s song “Periyone,” written with lyricist Rafiq Ahamed and performed by Jithin Raj, is in the running for the Song-Feature Film award.
The film’s score, which Rahman also composed, is nominated in the Score-Independent Film (Foreign Language) category.
“The Goat Life”, directed by Blessy and featuring Prithviraj Sukumaran, is adapted from Benyamin’s novel Aadujeevitham, depicting the life of a young man from Kerala who seeks a better life abroad.
The Hollywood Music in Media Awards, organised by the Hollywood Music in Media Academy, recognize original music in various forms of media worldwide, from film to commercials.

The film, produced by Visual Romance, also stars Amala Paul, KR Gokul, and international actors Jimmy Jean-Louis and Talib al Balushi.
