Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan is all set to take on a new challenge as he steps into the director’s chair for the highly anticipated superhero film, Krrish 4. According to a recent report by India Today, the upcoming installment in the blockbuster franchise is expected to push cinematic boundaries, blending sci-fi elements with emotionally rich storytelling. What’s even more exciting for fans is that Hrithik may portray not one but three characters—his iconic superhero Krrish, his genius scientist father Rohit, and for the first time, the main antagonist.
The film is rumored to draw creative inspiration from Hollywood epics like Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame, incorporating time travel, alternate realities, and high-tech visuals. A major plotline will reportedly see Krrish navigating through different timelines—past and future—in a quest to eliminate a powerful threat that endangers the very fabric of existence.
A source close to the production revealed, “The idea is to balance high-octane action and visual effects with an emotional core, centered around family, legacy, and personal battles. The scale is massive, but the heart of the story remains deeply rooted.”
In a heartwarming announcement on Instagram, Rakesh Roshan—veteran filmmaker and father of Hrithik—confirmed that his son would helm the project. He wrote, “Duggu, 25 years ago I launched you as an actor. Today, once again, you are being launched as a director for our most ambitious film, #Krrish4. This journey, now in collaboration with Aditya Chopra and YRF, marks a proud moment for us as filmmakers and as a family.”

Adding to the excitement is the return of Preity Zinta, who last shared screen space with Hrithik in Koi… Mil Gaya and Krrish. Along with Zinta, Priyanka Chopra, Vivek Oberoi, and Rekha are also expected to reprise their roles, weaving together threads from previous films for a nostalgic yet fresh experience. Bollywood sensation Nora Fatehi is also rumored to join the cast in a strong action-oriented role, introducing a new dimension to the narrative.
The project has reportedly undergone multiple rounds of scripting and development, indicating that the team is striving for perfection before heading into production. Hrithik Roshan is currently busy shooting for War 2, another high-profile action film under YRF’s Spy Universe, and is expected to commence work on Krrish 4 soon after its completion.
