SOUTH KOREAN actor Park Seo-jun has shared his interest in visiting India, expressing his love for Bollywood films.
Speaking at a roundtable interview, Park said he would love to visit the country if invited. “If you invite me, anytime,” he told PTI when asked whether he would come to India to meet his fans.
His co-star Han So-hee and the show’s director Chung Dong-yoon echoed the sentiment, saying they would also be interested in visiting.
Park is currently gearing up for the release of the second season of Gyeongseong Creature, a Netflix series set to start streaming on Friday.
The actor, known for his roles in What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim and She Was Pretty, plays Jang Tae-sang, the owner of the House of Golden Treasure.
The first season of the show, released in December 2023, was set during the Japanese occupation of Korea, with the plot revolving around Tae-sang and Yoon Chae-ok, played by Han, who specializes in finding missing people.
Talking about the appeal of Gyeongseong Creature, Park explained that even when K-dramas share similar narratives, the storytelling makes each show unique.
“There are a lot of Korean dramas… we have this whole history. But even if we have the same theme or narrative, like the way it unravels, is what makes a show unique or fun,” he said.
In season two, set in 2024 Seoul, the story shifts to modern-day, exploring the continued ties between the characters.
Park commented that he had to be mindful of the time jump from the 1940s to the present day. “Not everything that happened between the past and the present are in the script, so I had to fill in the void with my own imagination,” he added.
Han So-hee described her character, Yoon Chae-ok, as the “pillar of the story” in the second season, noting that her character remained unchanged through the decades.
The show follows Chae-ok’s journey as an immortal figure in 2024 Seoul, continuing her work of tracking missing persons, which leads her to encounter a new character, Ho-jae, who bears a striking resemblance to Tae-sang.
