Kate Winslet teams up with Hulu for new series ‘The Spot’

The plot centres around a successful surgeon (played by Winslet) and her schoolteacher husband, who begin to suspect that she may be involved in a child’s hit-and-run incident

KATE WINSLET is set to star in, and executive produce a new series titled “The Spot” for Hulu.

The show is developed by Ed Solomon, known for writing films like “Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure” and “Men in Black.”

The plot centres around a successful surgeon (played by Winslet) and her schoolteacher husband, who begin to suspect that she may be involved in a child’s hit-and-run incident.

As the couple digs deeper into the mystery, they find themselves entangled in a complex web of suspicion and secrets, putting their relationship to the test.

“Their quest for truth spirals into a web of mounting suspicion and dark secrets, testing their resolve and their relationship as they confront the possibility of hidden guilt and betrayal,” according to the official logline.

Winslet, who has been in the industry for 30 years, will produce the show under her Juggle Productions banner, while Ed Solomon will serve as the writer, executive producer, and showrunner.

The project is being produced by Hollywood studio A24 in collaboration with 20th Television.

Winslet has previously won an Academy Award for her role in “The Reader” and has starred in various films and series, including “Mare of Easttown” and “The Regime.”
