When the leopard was spotted on Monday, the villagers alerted the forest officials.

They came with a cage to trap the big cat.

While they were trying to track him by following his pugmarks, the leopard suddenly sprang from bushes and charged towards a crowd.

This is when Yoganand stepped in and grabbed the big cats tail, and pulled him. Before the big cat could turn around and harm him, the forest officials trapped him using a net.

The leopard was later sent to a rescue centre in Mysuru.
