Actor, producer, director, and now a café owner—Kangana Ranaut’s latest venture unfolds in the serene mountains of Manali. Tucked away in the snow-capped peaks, her new café, The Mountain Story, is more than just a business; it’s a long-cherished childhood dream turned reality.
Kangana took to Instagram to share a mesmerizing glimpse of her mountaintop retreat. In the video, she walks into the quaint café, greeted by staff members wearing traditional Himachali caps. The interiors exude warmth, with wooden furniture, regal lamps, and a glowing fireplace, creating a rustic yet elegant ambiance. Through the voiceover, she reminisces about her childhood, where the aroma of home-cooked meals filled her home, serving as the inspiration behind this venture.

The video also offers a sneak peek into the menu, featuring an authentic Himachali thali and other local delicacies. The café’s outdoor seating presents an uninterrupted view of the majestic mountains, making it a dream destination for travelers and food lovers alike. Ending the clip, Kangana announces, “I welcome you to The Mountain Story,” revealing that the café will open on February 14, Valentine’s Day. She captioned the post:
“A childhood dream comes alive—my little café in the lap of the Himalayas. The Mountain Story—it’s a love story. #TheMountainStory Opening 14th February ❄️👩🍳💝.”
Kangana also unearthed an old interview where she expressed her wish to open a café that would serve dishes inspired by her global travels. In the same clip, Deepika Padukone is seen promising to be her first customer. Holding Deepika to her words, Kangana tagged her and wrote, “You promised to be my first client.”
Earlier, she had also shared breathtaking images from the location, reflecting on her deep connection with the mountains:
“The mountains are calling, and I must answer. The mountains are my bones, the rivers my veins, the forests my thoughts, and the stars my dreams. A mountaintop is where life finds its purest meaning of freedom.”
