Shahid Kapoor turned 44 on February 25, and fans flooded social media with warm wishes for the Bollywood star. Celebrities also joined in to celebrate his special day, but one tribute that stood out was from his younger brother, Ishaan Khatter. Taking to Instagram, Ishaan shared a touching message for his “supernova big bro” along with a series of nostalgic pictures capturing their brotherly bond.
The cover photo of his post is a heartwarming throwback featuring a young Shahid Kapoor holding a toddler Ishaan in his arms, both beaming at the camera. The post also includes snapshots from their vacations, film sets, and a solo picture of Shahid. The final frame is another precious throwback, showing little Ishaan sitting on Shahid’s lap as he reads a newspaper to him.
While the pictures themselves are enough to make fans emotional, Ishaan’s caption truly won hearts. He wrote, “Not much has changed! Still stealing your clothes. Happy birthday to the supernova big bro.”

Shahid’s wife, Mira Rajput, also made his birthday extra special with a loving tribute. Sharing a romantic photo of the couple lost in each other’s eyes, she wrote, “Love of my life, light of my world. Happy Birthday to my forever. In the middle of everything and at the end of it all, you’re the one. The magic is in you.”

In an earlier interview with News18 Showsha, Ishaan opened up about his close bond with Shahid. He described their relationship as one built on deep understanding rather than words. “It’s a beautiful thing, even if we don’t talk about it too much. But, we both know that it’s there. He has been like a mentor – someone I’ve learnt a lot from. We are lucky to have each other,” Ishaan said.
On the professional front, Shahid Kapoor was last seen in Rosshan Andrrews’ action-drama Deva. He will next appear in Vishal Bhardwaj’s Arjun Ustara, co-starring Triptii Dimri. Additionally, he is set to star in Ashwatthama: The Saga Continues, directed by Sachin B Ravi. With these exciting projects lined up, fans can expect more power-packed performances from the actor in the coming months.
