The IPL 2025 opening ceremony is set to be a grand spectacle at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, on March 22, featuring some of Bollywood’s biggest stars and international music sensations. The star-studded event will see the presence of Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Katrina Kaif, and Madhuri Dixit, while performances by Shraddha Kapoor, Arijit Singh, Shreya Ghoshal, Karan Aujla, and pop band OneRepublic are expected to electrify the audience.
Bollywood icons Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan are expected to add a touch of glamour to the highly anticipated event. A source close to the organizers revealed, “Their presence is likely to add a touch of glamour and excitement to the highly anticipated event. Shah Rukh is expected to attend as his team is playing the opening match, and Salman might make an appearance to promote his upcoming film, Sikandar.”
Shah Rukh Khan, the co-owner of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), will be present as his team plays the opening match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). Meanwhile, Salman Khan’s presence will help build excitement for his much-awaited film, Sikandar.

The IPL 2025 opening ceremony promises a dazzling mix of entertainment, music, and dance with performances by some of India’s biggest stars. As per the source,
“Shreya Ghoshal, Disha Patani, Karan Aujla, Arijit Singh, Shraddha Kapoor, and Varun Dhawan will be performing. In addition to that, pop band OneRepublic, who collaborated with Karan Aujla and Disha Patani recently for Tell Me, has also been approached for a performance at the opening ceremony.”
OneRepublic’s possible performance is expected to bring an international flavor to the event. Their recent collaboration with Karan Aujla and Disha Patani has created buzz, and their inclusion in the lineup is sure to excite fans.
Apart from the performers, the guest list is filled with Bollywood A-listers. Celebrities expected to attend the event include:

IPL 2025: A Thrilling Season Ahead
The 18th edition of the IPL will commence on March 22, with the final scheduled for May 25 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. This season will have 74 matches played across 13 venues, featuring 10 teams divided into two groups:
The opening match will see KKR face off against RCB at Eden Gardens, setting the stage for an action-packed tournament. The venue will also host Qualifier 2 on May 23, while the grand final will take place on May 25.
