Indian-origin Virender Rana becomes new Condair Australia managing director

Condair, a leading manufacturer of commercial and industrial humidification systems based in New South Wales, Australia, has announced the appointment of Virender Rana as the new managing director for Condair Australia.

Rana, who had his education as well as the early part of professional life in India, brings nearly two decades of experience in the heating, ventilation and air-conditioning industry. He has a proven record of driving growth, building strong relationships with customers and partners and implementing innovative strategies to better business operations, Condair said.

Urs Hefti, head of Condair global sales AG, said in a statement, “We are delighted to welcome Virender as our new Managing Director for the Australian region. He brings a wealth of experience to the company. Our growth in sales across Australia in recent years has been very positive and we’re sure that under his leadership, this trend will continue.”

Rana said, “I am honoured to take on the role of managing director at Condair and to work alongside our talented team of professionals. I look forward to building on the strong foundation that Ian and the team have established and continuing to drive innovation and growth for our customers.”

Rana did MBA from Apeejay Institute of Management and Technology and has a Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences from Punjab University. He started his career at Pfizer and Ranbaxy in India as a sales representative.

Prior to joining Condair, he worked at LG Electronics for 18 years in various capacities such as pre-sales, assistant general manager and national commercial sales manager in various locations such as Seoul, Singapore and Sydney.

Ian Eitzen, Condair’s outgoing managing director, has joined a new role as senior technical advisor.
