SHE is only 10 but yet she has set her foot in 50 countries on Planet Earth with her globetrotting parents. Indian-origin Aditi Tripathi, who lives in London with her parents, has travelled to most of Europe besides Asian nations such as Nepal, India, Singapore and Thailand but hasn’t missed school for a single day, according to Yahoo Life UK.
According to the report, Aditi’s parents Deepak and Avilasha had decided to make their child a well-travelled individual. They wanted her to know the world and understand different cultures, foods and people. But at the same time, they also wanted to ensure that their daughter did not miss school.
They, therefore, came up with a plan and started travelling on every school holiday and even started utilising bank holidays. According to the outlet, Aditi’s parents estimate that they spend £20,000 a year on travel and that the investment is worth it.
“She gets curious and excited seeing different cultures like in Nepal, India and Thailand. We started travelling with her when she was in nursery age three and she used to go to school for two and a half days per week,” Deepak said, according to Yahoo.
“Now we pick her up straight from school on Friday and we take a late night flight back at around 11pm on Sunday. Sometimes we have arrived on Monday morning, and she goes straight to school from the airport,” he was quoted as saying.
Aditi’s parents reportedly work as accountants and they save money throughout the year for their trips abroad. They avoid going out to ear and do not even own a car and rely on public transport so that they can save money on commuting costs and childcare for Advita, Aditi’s two-year-old sister.
Tripathi said in the pre-pandemic days, they would visit around 12 places in a year. Aditi visited almost the entire Europe since her tender age and developed a taste for globetrotting.
She told the outlet that while she has no specific country or place but if still asked to pick, Nepal, Georgia and Armenia would be among her favourites.
“Nepal was probably one of my favourites because I did horse riding, I went on the longest cable car, and I could see mountains like Mount Everest. I really love travelling and have loads of fun memories. I would recommend it to other children because it can really help with your social skills,” she was quoted as saying.
The first country that Aditi visited was Germany.
