Shocking scenes were witnessed inside the House during the Zero Hour when Sharma jumped out of the visitors’ gallery and burst a yellow-smoke canister. He went from desk to desk and tried to reach the chair of the speaker of the chamber, Om Birla. Both were caught and overpowered by the parliamentarians. Neelam and Shinde did the same outside shouting slogans against ‘dictatorship’.
The Delhi Police were interrogating the six accused.
Birla said a thorough investigation will take place.
The incident happened on the 22nd anniversary of the terror attack on the old building of the Indian parliament when nine people were killed.
