Months after a woman South Korean blogger was harassed by two two-wheeler-borne young men on a busy street in the western Indian city of Mumbai, yet another woman blogger from the same country went through a forgettable experience, this time in the city of Jodhpur in the northern state of Rajasthan which is a popular tourist destination.
A video of the incident which the blogger shared went viral on social media and caused an outrage. It showed a man following her as she walked down the stairs of a structure and recording a video. She steps aside to let the man go but after going down a few steps, he stands aside and the Korean passed, he flashed her his private parts at her and gestured with a smile on.
Just came across this video of a Korean vlogger who posted a video of her being sexually harassed in Jodhpur. This is extremely disgusting and shameful. People like these are spoiling the image of our great country. Am writing to Shri @AshokGehlot51 to take strongest action! pic.twitter.com/8vfjblcizx

The woman, visibly shocked, could be seen shouting and running away.
The man was later arrested and an investigation was launched. Nobody else could be seen in the video.
Several users shared the video on Twitter, including Swati Maliwal, the chief of Delhi Commission for Women, who herself was allegedly molested by a drunk car driver late at night in New Delhi when she went out with her team for an inspection in the national capital.
“Just came across this video of a Korean vlogger who posted a video of her being sexually harassed in Jodhpur. This is extremely disgusting and shameful. People like these are spoiling the image of our great country,” Maliwal wrote while sharing the video.
She also said that she was writing to Ashok Gehlot, the chief minister of Rajasthan, seeking strongest action against the accused man.
“A woman foreign tourist blogger had put up a post on her social media that a man had sexually harassed her in Jodhpur. Taking cognizance of this information, we identified the man and arrested him,” Dr Amrita Duhan, deputy commissioner of police, Jodhpur East, was quoted as saying by Asian News International.
In December, a video surfaced showing a South Korean blogger getting dragged by her hand by a man in Mumbai’s Khar area as she shouted “no, no”. As she walked away, he appeared again with another man on a motorcycle and offered her a lift. The woman refused and told them in broken English that her house is nearby.
The two accused were sent to police custody for 24 hours after their arrest.
The blogger thanked the police and said she intended to return to India despite her experience.
