MAJOR Indian information technology (IT) services provider Wipro on Thursday (21) said that its chief financial officer (CFO) Jatin Dalal has stepped down to pursue other opportunities. He had spent more than two decades with the company.
Dalal will be succeeded by Aparna Iyer, who is also a 20-year veteran who was the senior vice president and CFO of Wipro’s cloud services unit most recently, the company said, according to a Reuters report.
Iyer was set to take over as the CFO on Friday (22) and Dalal will stay till November 30, Wipro added.
Dalal, who became the CFO in 2015, and chief executive officer (CEO) Thierry Delaporte guided the Bengaluru-based company through the pandemic-year challenges when demand for digital services shot up.
In a statement, Delaporte said Iyer has been integral to the IT major’s finance transformation over the last few years.
According to the CEO, she played “a key role in our financial strategy and planning, investment programs, and transformation initiatives”.
