THE Indian men’s hockey team retained the third spot in FIH (International Hockey Federation) rankings behind Australia and Belgium but the women’s team slipped to the ninth spot. The Netherlands were leading the table in the women’s category.

They ended with 2296.038 points to finish third in the overall ranking. Olympics silver medallists Australia were leading the table with 2642.258 points while champions Belgium were second with 2632.121 points.
