London Underground had a high-profile visitor last week when Dubai crown prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum travelled in the rapid transit system though it seems not many had noticed his presence.
Al Maktoum, who will turn 40 later this year and has been serving as the crown prince since 2008, is currently holidaying in London with his friends and family and sharing updates about his stay in Europe with his followers on Instagram. Recently, a few pictures of Al Maktoum travelling with his friend in the London Underground became a widely discussed point on social media.
Al Maktoum, who is known to be a humble individual, opted to travel in a mass transport system instead of a fancy ride and this won him appreciation online.
The picture shared on Instagram featuring the crown prince was a selfie. It showed Al Maktoum and his friend, who has been identified as Badr Ateej, travelling in the London tube and if one took a closer look, it could be seen that nobody really noticed the high-profile person’s presence.
“London Tube travelling is so inspirational! You get to see so much diversity and real human stories,” one user wrote.
