As more details begin to come out related to the brutal murder of Shraddha Walkar, a 27-year-old woman by her live-in partner in Delhi, it has been reported that the accused had invited another girl to his house after meeting her over a dating application a month after the murder, police said.
It was learned that Aftab Amin Poonawalla had hidden the body parts of Shraddha after chopping her into 35 pieces in a cupboard and refrigerator before bringing the new girl.
It was also reported that the accused had used sulphur hypocaloric acid, about which he learned on the internet, to remove the blood stains so that he could evade DNA sampling during a forensic probe.
Poonawalla reportedly strangulated Shraddha in May following a quarrel and dismembered the body and kept the parts in a newly bought fridge. Later, he moved out of the house late in the night to throw the body pieces in various parts of a forest area in Delhi over a period exceeding two weeks.
Vikas Madan Walkar, the father of the victim, had reportedly told Delhi Police that Poonawalla used to abuse and assault Shraddha.
Parents of both Poonawalla and Shraddha have said that they were opposed to their relationship right from the day they found that their children were dating.
