IN RESPONSE to significant fan interest, Coldplay and ticketing platform BookMyShow announced a fourth concert for Ahmedabad as part of the “Music of the Spheres World Tour 2025.”

The new concert will be held on January 25, 2025, at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium, following reports of black market ticket resales for the previously scheduled events. Tickets for the newly announced concert will be available on BookMyShow starting November 16 at 12 pm.

Coldplay initially announced two concerts in September, slated for January 18 and 19, 2025, at the DY Patil Sports Stadium in Mumbai. A third concert on January 21 was subsequently added due to demand.

Now, with this additional Ahmedabad show, fans will have more opportunities to attend the concerts, addressing complaints over limited ticket availability and inflated resale prices.

Coldplay, led by Chris Martin, posted about the new date on their official social media platform X, highlighting the show as their “biggest ever” with an audience capacity of 100,000.

BookMyShow COO Anil Makhija said in a statement, “The only way to better serve the record-breaking demand for Coldplay’s Music Of The Spheres World Tour in India has been to secure the country’s largest venue, making it possible to host Coldplay for their biggest-ever stadium audience globally.”

The show’s organization involves BookMyShow Live and Live Nation, the tour’s global promoter.

Jared Braverman, SVP of Global Touring for Live Nation Entertainment, praised Coldplay’s continued effort to expand their reach, stating, “Over 20 years into their touring career, Coldplay continues to push boundaries in both scale and reach.”

Meanwhile, the Enforcement Directorate is investigating ticket resales for concerts by Coldplay and Diljit Dosanjh, including reports of ticket sales on unauthorized platforms at inflated prices.

BookMyShow announced that the ticket booking process for the upcoming concert will include a virtual queue and randomization system to ensure fair access for fans.
