Zeta-Jones will portray Jackie Price, a woman who has spent two decades living a luxurious and anonymous life, using her wealth from selling fine art and exploiting tax loopholes

OSCAR-WINNING actor Catherine Zeta Jones will play the lead role in the upcoming revenge thriller series “Kill Jackie”, based on Nick Harkaway’s novel “The Price You Pay”.
The series is being produced by Prime Video, Fremantle, and Steel Springs Pictures, as reported by Variety.
Zeta-Jones, 55, will portray Jackie Price, a woman who has spent two decades living a luxurious and anonymous life, using her wealth from selling fine art and exploiting tax loopholes.
Her secretive existence is a means of distancing herself from her dangerous history as an international cocaine dealer.
The story takes a darker turn when Jackie discovers that a squad of elite hitmen, known as The Seven Demons, has been hired to kill her.
According to the official logline, Jackie devises a plan to eliminate them one by one before they can reach her but soon realises her internal struggles may be more formidable than her external enemies.
The series, written by “Gangs of London” writers Tom Butterworth and Conor Keane, will be directed by Damon Thomas, who previously worked on “Killing Eve”.
Filming will occur in Bilbao, Lisbon, London, and Swansea.
In addition to starring, Zeta-Jones is also an executive producer.
Regarding the project she said, “The opportunity to bring this multifaceted character to life, and explore a female-driven plot that encompasses empowerment, identity and redemption is something I’m looking forward to.”
