The actor was approached for the project after expressing her admiration for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 to director Anees Bazmee. “He said, ‘I want to narrate you something that I’m making, and there’s a fantastic role in it.’ He came and gave me a gist and told me what the story was about,” she recalled.
In the film, Dixit Nene plays ACP Rathore and Anjulika, while Balan reprises her iconic dual roles as Mallika and Manjulika. The two also share screen space in a highly anticipated dance-off on the reimagined version of ‘Ami Je Tomar’.
