Jay Shah, the secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) came under criticism on Sunday (28) after he refused to hold the Indian Tricolour after Team India defeated arch-rivals Pakistan in a group match in the ongoing Asia Cup by 5 wickets at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
A video of Shah, the son of Indian home minister Amit Shah, went viral in which he was seen politely refusing an official who tried to hand him over the Indian National Flag while applauding the defending champions’ thrilling win over Pakistan.

However, one tweet explained why the BCCI official refused to take the Indian flag. It said Shah is also the president of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) which administers the Asia Cup tournament and as per the body’s code of conduct, he had to show neutrality to all the stake-holders.
Because he is president of Asian Cricket Council. And as per code of conduct, he has to show neutrality against all stake holders. https://t.co/3SuIl2lj4i
