Cook, who was present at the launch of the Apple store in Mumbai amid celebrations, met Indian information technology minister Ashwini Vaishnaw before meeting Modi.
The 62-year-old is set to welcome customers at the inauguration of the store in a shopping mall in Delhi’s Saket area on Thursday (20).
An Apple store is aimed at giving the customers a top-notch experience by functioning as a one-stop destination for product sales, services and accessories.
The inauguration of the store is also taking place at a time when Apple is eyeing an expansion in India amid the US’s growing tensions with China where most of Apple’s production takes place.
Cook also visited India’s first art district — the Lodhi Art District — in New Delhi on Wednesday.
